The Club
1. The name of the club is Cambridgeshire 4x4z, also known as C4.
1.1 We are a voluntary club.
The Aims
2. The aim of C4 shall be: To help, support and back up local communities and other organizations.
2.1 The support provided will primarily be logistical in case of adverse weather or road conditions.
We provide assistance with:
Four wheel drive capability for any situation (off road, flooding, severe weather etc.) for District Councils, Emergency Services and any other group who we may wish to support (RSPCA, NHS, WRVS, etc.)
A co-ordinated group of competent individuals who have knowledge of search, rescue, navigation and communication skills to assist in the solution of any major problems (training can be given).
Vehicle support for other volunteer organisations.
Off road support for St. Johns Ambulance or other Fist Aid Organization at organized events such as motor or equestrian events.
A chance for the members to have fun and test their vehicles and their own capabilities during exercises and events.
Marshalling at any event.
To hold regular 'Green Lane Runs and Off Road days to provide essential local knowledge and training.
The group is not affiliated to any club or organisation and its only aims are those stated above. The group will not operate in any competitive forum at all as it is felt that this is adequately catered for by other clubs.
Membership
3. All members will be over the age of 18.
3.1 Active members will be owners of 4x4/utility vehicles.
3.2 Standby members are non owners of 4x4/utility vehicles, but are willing to attend as required.
3.3 Green Lane/Off Road Members are people out for off roading only
3.4 The club shall be governed at all times by the laws of England and Wales.
The Committee
4. The committee shall consist of 3 members of C4, others maybe appointed later
4.1 If need arises, the Green lane or Training Co-orinator maybe required to assist as a committee member.
4.2 The committee compromises of Chairperson, Secretary and Treasurer.
4.3 The committee can be voted out by any 2 member asking for a vote of no confidence.
The Membership Fees
5. Club membership fees to be arranged by committee and informed at first club meeting.
5.1 Membership is charged annually.
The Bank
6. All funds of C4 shall be held in a bank in the name of Cambridgeshire 4x4z.
6.1 A minimum of 2 committee members shall sign all cheques.
6.2 In the event of the club being dissolved, all remaining funds shall be dispersed to the charity which members believe most resembles the group in aims or area of operation.
The AGM or EGM
7. No committee member will hold the right to vote for anybody else. (1 vote rule applies) anybody wishing to vote but not attend will have to vote in writing to the committee no later than 14 days before the vote, a voting form will be sent to member’s no later than 28 days before AGM.
7.1 The AGM meeting shall be held on the last Sunday in October each year. 28 days notice shall be given by email, telephone or publication.
7.2 The committee shall meet once monthly.
7.3 An Extraordinary General Meeting for the purpose of dissolving the club or amending the constitution may be called by the committee or one quarter of the membership giving notice to the secretary. The meeting shall be held not less than 14 days and not later than 21 days from such notice. The venue date and time of such meeting shall be clearly stated in the notice.
7.4 Group meetings shall be every 3 months (at a venue, time and date to follow).
The Law
8. All 4x4z & Utility vehicles must meet current legal legislations.
8.1 All 4x4z & Utility vehicles need to meet the clubs minimum standard.
8.3 A member of Cambridgeshire 4x4z will be appointed to check vehicles current standards.
